Lactation cookies are calorie free, right? ; )

Please note this post has been edited as of 10:30PM 3/31/15

I received a comment from the blogger who I copied in this post that she didn’t want her recipe copied, so you’ll have to go to her blog to get it, also I’d like to note, just in case anyone doesn’t get my sarcasm that these cookies are NOT, in fact, calorie free. I have faith in my readers to have not only brains but great senses of humor, but as I said, this is all per request of said blogger…. I’ll post a milk boosting smoothie recipe later in the week though that is actually much healthier, faster and better than the cookies, although they are pretty darn tasty ; ) The ingredients are below but you’ll have to visit her blog to get the directions ; 0

So my milk finally came in a few days ago and it’s been strong and awesome but just as a precaution I’m trying to get my supply way up so I have a back stock for when I go back to teaching (tonight ; ) and leading workshops and trainings and such. I scoured pinterest for lactation cookies, because who doesn’t want a cookie?) Here’s my favorite recipe!

Note… I totally skipped over the peanut butter and the water (I haven’t slept in a week so cut me some slack!) and they turned out just fine but I’m sure they’re even better with it! I added dried cranberries and chopped walnuts too and holy cow they’re good! And Best of all, Calorie free ; ) (this part is a joke, please don’t complain when you eat a bunch of these and your ass gets fat, it’s common sense people ; )

Homemade Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Lactation Cookies

3 Tablespoons Brewer’s Yeast (do not substitute)
2 Tablespoons Flaxseed Meal
3 Cups Slow Rolled Oats (found these in the bins at my local health foods store)
2 Cups of Organic Dark Chocolate Chips (the organic one’s taste even better)
3 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter
1 Cup of Butter
1 Cup of White Granulated Sugar
1 Cup of Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Cups of Flour
4 Tablespoons of Water
1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

  1. Hi there! I appreciate you linking to my recipe for Lactation cookies. However, copying and pasting my recipe word for word is plagiarism and it is also seen as duplicate content in Google’s eyes. I’d be fine with you posting part of the recipe and linking back to my site for the full recipe. Also please do not claim these are calorie free because they are not. They are an overall healthier cookie but by no means calorie free. Appreciate you correcting this post. Thank you.

    • Hi Brittanie, I apologize if I offended in any way, I’ll alter it as soon as I get home to my computer. The calorie free bit is obviously a joke, my fans get my sarcasm, sorry you don’t. I’m surprised copying a recipe is such an issue considering I gave you credit for it. Love and light -Ashley

      • Hi Ashley I appreciate your professionalism. My issue is more with the duplicate content since it can hurt my SEO along with your own. I appreciate the link back. I understand the calorie free may be sarcasm but for some new readers that may arrive to your site and see this post they may not understand and lash out at us both if they were to devour the entire batch of cookies and gain weight. LOL yes far fetched but it happens and just don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea. Thank you for your reply and willingness to update the post a bit.

  2. Ashley, I’m going to sue you for my ass getting fat. Hahahahahahahaha. I can’t wait to try these after Baby J is born!!!!
