Friday List

I love farm to table restaurants. I love that when we eat at them we’re not only supporting local farmers, heirloom varieties, more often than not organic, but it’s absolutely delicious too! I have a mental list of places to try and I’m slowly crossing them off! So here’s a list of my favorites.

Luna’s Living Kitchen

Luna’s has always been my favorite and there isn’t a single item on the menu that I don’t love, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Lunasagna! They moved to a larger space in Atherton Mills a while back and have filled it with love, light and gorgeous art! Drop in for a quick juice or smoothie or stay for lunch and now dinner!!!

Workman’s Friend

I have been wanting to try this place forever and it finally happened the other day! A dear friend and I met for (a kid free ; ) brunch and it was fabulous! Their menu is fantastic! I had the bangers and grits and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is like a warm Irish hug too!

Customshop

This restaurant has been on my list for ages! I used to sell Lotus Rouge at the Elizabeth Ave Farmers market and met Trey and Michelle there. Michelle owns Think Bees, quite possibly the best honey I’ve ever tasted! We started off with a cheese plate; Agour Ossau-Iraty Sheep, Goat Lady Dairy Snow Camp and Prosciutto di Parma and it was divine. Jake had the squid ink bucatini and I had the Scallops a la plancha and both were perfect!

Bottom line, your dollars are votes, so if you’re going to vote every single day, make it count! Shop local, support local agriculture and be mindful of the quality of food you put it your body. PS. It can taste amazing too ; )
